Principal

Neil Akerman began his career as a surveyor with William H. Brown in 1983, as Personal Assistant to the Senior Partner, responsible for the Commercial Department  covering East Anglia.

In 1985 he moved to Strutt and Parker, Ipswich, and took over the Commercial Property Department and in 1988 he became an Associate Partner. He subsequently joined a property development company as a Director.

In 1993 he set up his own surveying practice, Akermans Chartered Surveyors, particularly specialising in all aspects of commercial property.

Neil also acts as an arbitrator and independent expert on commercial and residential property matters within his areas of specialisation.

Anna was educated in the Netherlands and started her secretarial career in Amsterdam before coming to England in 1976.   After working in different office environments and a break to have children, she worked for King & Chasemore Estate Agents in Sussex for several years before coming to Suffolk.

She joined Akermans in November 2006.
